Russ was my Molette bud along with Ronnie Harrison, Rick Countryman and Pierce Myers. We got together often to play broom stick wiffle ball off the Mollette house of choice that particular day, (you had to call out the right window to hit for a home run!). We played for hours and included his older brother Dale and my older brother Ron.  He was a great kid and friend that I lost track of when I left Moline so many years ago to join the service.  I will always have very fond memories of him.

Russ was the love of my life in Mrs. Harrington's 5th grade class.  I loved all of our Molette gang, but he has always held a special place in my heart.  RIP good buddy!!

I certainly understand why Russ was the "love your life" Vicki. Handsome, easy going, wryly humourous with that slanted smile, he was very special. Mike thanks for those whiffle ball memories. I would love to tell him today how much I liked him. Ronnie, MIke and I have mused about a Molette reunion, but never got off our duffs to do anything about it. That will change with the 2020 class reunion (I promise), so Moletters plan to arrive a day early. We have a great group and we had a great time and have great friendships. RIP Russ. You are neat.

Yes, a Moletters' reunion would be great.  I hope to make the trip back for 2020.  Russ will be deeply missed by all.

Russ was a friend starting back in kindergarden at Washington Grade School, we lived a couple of houses away from each other. He and his brother Don were in the cub scouts together along with Bill Seller, Dave Warren, Dale Aten, Ron Harrison and myself and others from molette. We played baseball and was active in the dads club team for several years. During high school Russ and I hunted and fished together. He was a Pal.
