COAL VALLEY, Ill. - Timothy Halloran, 61, of Coal Valley, Ill., died Wednesday, December 17, 2008. He passed away doing what he loved most, spending time with his buddies.

As per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. Arrangements have been handled by Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.

Friends and family are welcome to join together for a celebration of life at Crabby's in Coal Valley, on January 11, beginning at 2 p.m. until whenever.

Timothy Hugh Halloran was born in Chicago on May 23, 1947, to George and Elsie (Hellebuyck) Halloran. He graduated from Moline High School, and was an veteran of the U.S. Army. On September 18, 1998, he married Cheryl Frederiksen.

He was an electrician for 30 years, at John Deere Harvester, until his retirement. Tim had a passion for fishing and camping with his wife and friends.

Tim is survived by his wife, Cheryl; a son, Zachary (BreAnne) Halloran, and two granddaughters, Maggie and Myla Halloran, all of Muscatine, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Dana (Rodney) Traman, and step-grandchildren, Ethan and Kendra Traman, all of Taylor Ridge, Ill.; and by his two sisters, Georgine (Allan) VerBeke, of Joslyn, Ill., and Kitty (Daniel) Gutterman, of Kansas City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
