Rosanne was married to my favorite cousin Leonard Schimmel. They were high school sweet hearts til death did they part. Now they are together in heaven. She was a good friend through high school and all through her short life. I think of her often.
Rosanne Schimmel 48 died Aug 10, 1995, at home. She had been employed at Modern Woodmen Rock Island, from 1966 to 1973 and later at the Belgian Village Moline, from 1980 to 1986. She was a member of the Florence McKahin Circle of King's Daughters and was one of the organizers of the QC Mastectomy Support Group. She was a former member of the PTAs of Garfield Elementary School, John Deere Junior High and Moline High School. She enjoyed traveling, Moline basketball and gardening.
You could not help likeing Rosanne,I had a secret crush on her and always wanted to dance with her. She always had fun at whatever she did and made people around her smile.
