I retired from teaching in 2002. We have kept busy with family, volunteering, and traveling. We have been lucky enough to have been on trips to Canadian Rockies, Fall cruise to Canada, Niagara Falls, London, Paris, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, China, Hong Kong, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Rhine River Cruise, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Viking Danube cruise and Poland!
Our oldest granddaughter joined the Navy, at 18, as an intelligence specialist, and is now stationed in Washington D.C. She graduated from College last year with a major in Homeland Security, got married, and will soon be medically discharged from the Navy. .Our second granddaughter graduated from college at Illinois State University and has been teaching high school band in Rockford, Il. for several years.The oldest boy graduated from Wartburg University in Waverly, IA, in May, got married, and is working in Waverly. Our youngest grandson graduated from Drake University in just 3 years in actuarial science! He is working in downtown Chicago for KPMG as an actuary.
We live on a pond, and have spent a lot of time fishing.
Can't believe it has been 57 years since graduation!
