When I think of Paul I smile with sweet memories of his smile.  We all had a crush on him. I am so sorry for your loss Jilane. I think I served cake at your wedding, right?  I still have the gift you gave me. May you and your boys find God's peace.  Hugs

Dear Jilane, I'm so sorry to read of Paul's passing. I remember him so fondly all through school, until his family moved away. He was a sweet, handsome boy, and I'm very sorry for your loss. Sincere condolences to you and your sons, and a hug to you.

I am so saddened to learn of Paul's passing, and my heart grieves for the loss of the one who was loved by so many. My connection to Paul began when I attended Garfield school with him and formed a fan club with several girlfriends (maybe in second grade)--The Nicky (Eastland) and Paul Fan Club! We all thought Paul was so cute and fun. I so remember, too, when Jilane and Paul became an item; we all thought a perfect match! Jilane, I am so sorry for the trials of grief you will face in the days ahead; please know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in the hope that the passing of time will lessen the pain of your loss. May Paul Rest In Peace.

Paul and I were good friends at Garfield. I have clear and fond memories of sleepovers at Paul's and those great breakfasts that Bev Savignano fixed us and eating in the kitchen nook. He lived a block from my grandmother and we'd often play baseball in his back yard. He was a good friend. Jilane, we all send our warmest thoughts to you and your sons and hope that these happy memories will blunt the grief that we know you are all feeling.

Wow, what a shock. Nick stole my thunder. I remember those sleepovers so well. Bev Savignano would make endless pancakes for us! I remember Nick, Don Price and probably others attending. I played a lot of bball with him and he had a mean set shot - kind of unorthodox.I vividly remember cruising down 23rd Ave. with him in the Jaguar convertible (must have been his Dad''s?). He was a great guy and I am so sorry we lost touch in later years. My greatest sympathies to Jilane and family

Dear Jilane,

As many others have expressed, so surprised and sadden by this news. Deepest sympathy and thoughts have been sent to you and your family. Many knew Paul's smile and enjoyed being his friend. What a wonderful legacy in all the fond memories expressed. Perhaps this will give you and your family comfort.

I was so glad to spend a few hours with Jilane yesterday as she had a layover at MSP.  She had just met her two new granddaughters in Mankato MN. She is doing alright.  Keep her and their two sons and daughters in laws in your prayers.

Oh my, Paul what a fine person .. and such a great friend for so many years! I remember hanging out both day and night at each other’s homes, playing sports and sharing life experiences in general while growing up in Moline. My condolences go out to Jilane and Paul’s family.
