Comments:

I'm 2/3 done with Suzee Carson's book, Under a Tie Dye Sky. It's a great read, and you will recognize most of the phrases & singers/songs from our era!

School Story:

I remember singing in our Hootenanny group! It was a lot of fun! If I Had a Hammer, Where have All the Flowers Gone?, Green, Green (it's green, they say, on the far side of the hill..............)
I remember how GREAT Marg Rosborough and Marie Flatley were in Syncronized Swimming! We were the Nyriads, and I was probably the worst ever, but I really enjoyed it! I still want to be a mermaid when I grow up.
I remember getting the giggles with Merikay Jones when we were supposed to be singing a duet for the Coolidge Jr. High Lenten service! We ran back to MHS b/c we were so embarrassed for screwing up!
I remember knee socks and pleated skirts and dyed to match angora sweaters.
I remember never, ever being afraid, even at night when my slumber party girls and I walked barefoot all the way to Barry Curtis' house where the boys were staying, and then being too shy to go inside!
I remember being terrified when I was at the end of crack the whip on ice at Riverside Park!
I remember Stephanie Sundine telling me in the choir hallway that Kennedy was shot.
I remember my first date with Scott Davis on a beautiful Indian Summer afternoon on November 11th, 1964.
I don't remember studying.
I loved high school.

?Pat and I always had good laughs together! It makes me smile just thinking of him! We dated a few times when we were home on college breaks. And even though I didn't make many of the reunions, we were always able to pick up right where we left off with a warm and friendly and fun visit! It seems as though that is the case for most people who knew him.

So many of us were in the MHS choir together, and enjoyed the concerts and "High School Musicals" with him!

God be with the hearts of those in Pat's family and in the hearts of dear friends.         Deanna Rohrbach Rossow

What I remember most about Eric is his singing. There was our Hootenany group that sang together occasionally, and it was so much fun! My favorite was singing Peter, Paul & Mary songs with Eric and Doug Jones. A part of my heart misses them. They were good friends to have.
